AMERICAN RED CROSS
ADULT CPR 4
HRS AED 2 HRS
This course is designed to teach
recognition and care of breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, as well
as, heart disease prevention. This course is intended for employees,
members of the community, civic organizations, and military personnel. Certificate
available.
CHILD CPR 3-4HRS AED 2
HRS
This course is designed to teach
recognition and care of breathing and cardiac emergencies in children, as well
as, the prevention of injuries to children in and around the home and in play
areas. This course is intended for employees, members of the community, civic
organizations, child care workers, and parents. Certificate available.
INFANT CPR3-4 HRS
This course is designed to teach recognition
and care of breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants, as well as, the prevention
of injuries to infants in and around the home and in play areas. This
course is intended for employees, members of the community, civic organizations,
child care workers, and parents. Certificate available.
COMMUNITY CPR6 HRS
This course is designed to teach
recognition and care of breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children,
and infants, as well as, the prevention of injuries to people of all ages. This
course is intended for employees, members of the community, civic organization,
and parents. Certificate available.
COMMUNITY FIRST AID & SAFETY 9
HRS
This course is designed to teach
recognition and care of breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, infants,
and children, as well as, identifying and caring for life-threatening bleeding,
sudden illness, and injuries. This course is intended for members of the community
and civic organizations. A Course Completion Card will be given when
the course and skills are successfully completed.
STANDARD FIRST AID6-8 HRS AED 2
HRS
This course is designed to teach
recognition and care for breathing & cardiac emergencies in adults (infants & children
optional), as well as, identifying life-threatening bleeding, sudden illness,
and injuries. This course is intended for business and industry employees
who want or need first aid training; employers seeking OSHA compliance in a
one day training session.
FIRST AID BASICS4 HRS
This course is designed to teach
the checking of an unconscious and conscious victim, as well as, recognizing
and caring for life-threatening bleeding, sudden illness and injuries. This
course is intended for individual’s interest in first aid without CPR.
CPR FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESCUER
9 HRS AED 2
HRSAdult/Ped
This course is designed
to teach recognition and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, two rescuer
CPR and the use of resuscitation mask and bag-valve-mask. This course
is intended for public safety personnel, lifeguards, emergency response team
members, first aid station members, students at police, fire, and rescue service
academics, health care professionals, and athletic trainers.
RESPONDING TO EMERGENCIES with CPRO
ADULT/PEDIATRIC AED Module, EPI- PEN Module 9
to 28 HRS
This course provides the professional
rescuer with knowledge and skills necessary in an emergency to help sustain
life and minimize injury. Includes CPR for the Professional Rescuer training,
AED, and Epi pen. Recognized by NYS Dept. of Education as appropriate
for coaches and meets certification requirements.
DEFENSIVE DRIVING6
HRS
This course is intended for business
people, PTA groups, social clubs, etc. Topics include safe driving techniques,
road safety, common driving errors, driver safety, and much more. NYSE
DMV offers 4 points off the students driving record as well as a 10% reduction
off collision insurance.
INFECTION CONTROL2-3
HRS
This course is intended for employees
with an on-the-job exposure to infectious materials. Topics include: Professional
responsibilities for Infection Control, Modes & Mechanisms of Disease Transmission
and Strategies for Infection Control, Selection & Use of Barriers and/or
Personal Protective Equipment, Prevention & Control of Communicable Diseases. Each
participant who has successfully completed this course will receive a certificate
and a record is kept for 6 years.
SPORTS SAFETY TRAINING6

This course is designed to teach
sports-related injury prevention, first aid care, adult CPR and optional child
CPR. Sports Safety Training features video and classroom instruction-plus
a hand reference book to use during competitions and practices (optional).

This course offers instruction in one rescuer adult and/or child & infant
CPR. It is intended for the general public, boys/girls clubs, parents,
grandparents, babysitters, mass CPR training participants. There is
no written evaluation.

This program is designed to teach CPR and relief of FBAO for adults, children
and infants. It includes instruction on barrier devices, instruction
on the causes and prevention of injuries, and cardio-pulmonary arrest in
children. It is intended for lay rescuers whose jobs require a credential
documenting successful completion of a written evaluation and successful
skills performance. (i.e.: security guards, childcare professionals,
preschool workers)
**The techniques and skill of either or both Adult & Pediatric Automated
External Defibrillation can be added to this course.
Heartsaver AED 4
hrs
This comprehensive program teaches the basic techniques of adult CPR and
the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). It is intended
for firefighters, police, airline personnel, security guards, other lay rescuers,
and those who may need to respond to a cardiac emergency. A written
and skills evaluation are given.
HS-FACTS 7
1/2 to 8 hrs
A collaboration between the AHA and the National Safety Council that combines
Adult CPR and the use of an AED with basic first aid procedures. It
is intended for the lay responder, firefighter, police, commercial airline
crew, security personnel, employees in the workplace, family members of patients
at high risk for sudden cardiac death. A written and skills evaluation
are given.
Healthcare Provider: Credential
BLS for Healthcare Provider 6
- 8 hrs
This course is designed to meet the needs of healthcare professionals who
respond to cardiac and respiratory emergencies. The course content
includes adult and pediatric CPR, foreign-body airway obstruction and two-rescuer
CPR and barrier devices. Also, AED is now a core component. The
course is intended for Licensed/certified healthcare providers such as physicians,
nurses, EMTs and other professionals whose job require completion of a written
evaluation and successful skills performance OR Non-licensed/certified
healthcare providers who support medical staff in areas of cardiac and respiratory
emergencies, i.e. Allied health professionals. A written and skills
evaluation are given.
In addition to the above courses NICE will modify
courses to accommodate your company and individual needs.
Life saving techniques and emergency procedures WILL help save
lives. In addition these techniques and procedures will reduce
personal injury at home and at work and will help you prepare and cope
with emergency situations.
